“37V groove” with a sharp groove edge bites into the ball firmly
The biggest point of the JAWS wedge is the newly adopted 37V groove. Due to the groove regulations introduced in 2010, it is no longer possible to sharpen the edge of the groove on the face when carving a groove at an acute angle to obtain a large spin. However, this 37V groove, on the contrary, designed the groove carved at an obtuse angle to sharpen the edge of the groove on the face. As a result, not only full shots, but also approach shots with slow swing speeds, stable spins can be entered and distance controllability has been improved.
NEW micro feature on face
JAWS wedges also include the NEW micro feature familiar to Callaway wedges. The friction coefficient has been improved by reversing the conventional idea and making the groove between grooves convex by CNC milling. Together with the new 37V groove, it produces a stable and unprecedented spin on approach shots.
Form considering the flow from the iron set
The head is designed with consideration of the flow of the shape so as not to make a difference with the pitching wedge and approach wedge of the iron set. In particular, the lower line on the toe side of the face has a design that changes smoothly from the form of the iron set.
Added 8 ° lobance setting to W grind sole
JAWS wedges come in a variety of sole shapes, from C grind to W grind. The W-Grind is also available in the Rovanth 8 ° range (58 °, 60 °, custom-made). A model that combines the latitude of mistakes with the wide sole and the freedom of opening and closing the face, making it a choice for all players, from advanced to beginners.
